Led by husband-and-wife team Dan and Kristin Barnett, we bring together design and craftsmanship to create beautiful, functional spaces that feel uniquely yours. With a shared passion for quality, creativity, and personal service, we’re committed to making every project a truly enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Dan is a licensed General Building Contractor who has been in the construction business for more than 30 years. His early roots trace back to being a stone & tile sales rep, a role that catapulted his passion for the industry and led to launching a successful company focused on countertop & tile installations and kitchen & bath remodels.
You can find some of his life’s work in Caesar’s Hotels, Red Rock & City Center in Vegas, Avalon Bay Communities, Johnstone Moyer Apartment Builders, and the Monterey City Civic Center.
Design has always been a passion of mine. With a background as a Nordstrom stylist and a certified interior designer since 2014, I’ve always been drawn to color, pattern, texture, and the details that make a space feel like home.
I started my own design company, Design Friendzy, in Orange County, focusing on furniture, accessories, and holiday décor. After exploring sales and marketing, I ultimately found my way back to what I love most—design.
Today, I’m a Designer and Studio Manager at Capital Interior & Design. Over the past year, I’ve built an extensive design library featuring 25+ vendors, giving us access to cabinetry, tile, flooring, plumbing, fixtures, finishes, and more—all in one place. Having these resources at our fingertips not only saves valuable time and eliminates the need to drive from location to location searching for the right design elements, but also allows us to source quality products at great prices.
I love making the design process easier, more creative, and more enjoyable, while helping bring each client’s vision to life.
As a multi-passionate professional, she spent some time in sales and marketing, still moonlighting as a design consultant on the side. Ultimately, she was drawn back home—into the design industry—full-time.
